Importing your first subscription and getting online

A subscription URL comes from your service provider — it is a web address that returns node configuration. Once you have it:

1. Open the Profiles page, paste the URL into the input box at the top and click Download;
2. A profile card appears — click it to activate (the highlighted card is the active one);
3. Switch to the Proxies page and pick a node with normal latency;
4. Back on the General page, turn on System Proxy;
5. Verify by visiting an external website in your browser.

If step 1 fails, the URL is usually incomplete, or it is only reachable through a proxy (a chicken-and-egg situation — download it once over a phone hotspot). If every node in step 3 shows timeout, see "Why all nodes time out". If turning on the proxy in step 4 kills your connection instead, the selected node is dead — switch nodes first.

Once the browser works, you are done. When the subscription changes later, just hit the refresh button on the profile card.
